When you rent a canoe from Silkeborg Kanocenter, you decide where you want to start and end. We have 30 different starting points along the entire Gudenåen river.

If you only want to go for a few hours, you can choose an hourly sailing trip, where you will always have to start and end at Silkeborg Harbor.

The package deals, which are both day trips and multi-day trips, can on the other hand be planned so that you decide the starting point. If you want to start in Tørring, Ry, Silkeborg, Svostrup or Kongensbro, it is no problem. You can see all the starting points on the website. It is also possible to end these places if you do not want to end at Silkeborg Harbour. The most important thing for us is that you get a trip that lives up to your wishes and needs.

Unless otherwise planned, the canoe will be ready for collection at the starting point you have booked. The canoe will be upside down, and on the canoe there will be a rental note with your information, so you can be sure that the canoe is yours. Here you will also find a map so you can orient yourself about your trip and the various options for break and overnight places.

There will be life jackets, paddles and any other extra equipment, if ordered, under the canoe. After that, there is nothing else to do but put the canoe in the water and get out on the trip.

Prices for renting a canoe in Silkeborg

Our prices are for everyone. It does not have to be expensive to have good experiences and memories for life.

Hourly sailing with start and end at Silkeborg Harbour costs 150 kroner per hour. The minimum rental period is 1 hour and thereafter is charged for each started 15 minutes. After 3 hours and 15 minutes, the price will be 500 kroner, regardless of whether you rent the canoe for 4, 5 or 6 hours. However, you must be back with the canoe the same day.

If you are up for a longer trip, where you are on the water for 2 days or more, the prices vary accordingly. Prices for 2 days range from 700 kroner depending on the season, whereas, for example, canoe rental for 5 days ranges from 1,300 kroner. These prices are for trips with start and end at Silkeborg Harbour.
