Canoe trip with kids – 3-day canoe holiday with everything ready for you

Experience the Gudenåen the easy way with our popular Family Package – a 3-day canoe trip where all the practicalities are taken care of in advance. Previously known as the “Family Trip”, this package is for those of you who want a simple and comfortable canoe holiday for the whole family, with time for togetherness and nature experiences.

Easy, convenient, and ready when you arrive

You’ll spend the night in large, pre-pitched tents that are ready for you at two carefully selected locations:

• Gudenå Camping

• Voervadsbro Teltplads

The tents include 4 camp beds. If you are 5 people, you must bring sleeping gear for the fifth person yourself, e.g. a sleeping mat. We also recommend bringing sleeping mats for the camp beds for extra comfort. Bringing sheets for the camp beds is mandatory.

A calm start to the trip

The trip usually starts in Tørring, where the Gudenåen’s narrow stretch makes it easy and safe to get started – even for first-time paddlers. Canoes can be picked up from Tørring Kanoudlejning from 9:00 and must be returned at the final destination no later than 16:00 on the last day.

If you’d like a shorter first paddling day, the canoes can instead be delivered to:

• Åle Teltplads

• Åstedbro Teltplads

This gives you a more relaxed start – ideal whether you’re a family, a group of friends, or a couple looking for a nature experience.

Practical information

• 3-day canoe holiday with everything ready in advance

• A family tent includes four camp beds, but you may book up to five people; the fifth person must provide an alternative sleeping setup (sleeping mat).

• You must bring your own sheets (mandatory) and preferably sleeping mats for extra comfort

• Canoes can be picked up from 9:00 and must be returned no later than 16:00

• It is not allowed to bring dogs or other pets

• The tents are practical and spacious – not glamping
