At Slusekioskens Kanoudlejning, you can rent more than just canoes. If you’d rather experience the water in a different way, you can also rent kayaks (sea kayaks & touring kayaks) or motorboats. Please note, however, that motorboats can only be rented if you start and finish at Silkeborg Harbor. That way, you can get an experience that matches exactly what you want.

We’re a company that’s constantly evolving and always striving to improve. Among other things, we also own Kongensbro Teltplads and have transformed it into a popular site with a fantastic location. You can use the site for breaks or overnight stays on your canoe or kayak trip. Here you’ll find toilet facilities, eating and campfire areas, and shelters.

Once you’ve rented a canoe in Silkeborg

When you rent a canoe from Silkeborg Kanocenter, you decide where you want to start and finish. We have 30 different starting points along the entire Gudenåen.

If you only want to go for a couple of hours, choose an hourly trip, and you will always start and finish at Silkeborg Harbor.

The package solutions, which include both day trips and multi-day trips, can be planned so you choose the starting point yourself. If you’d like to start in Tørring, Ry, Silkeborg, Svostrup, or Kongensbro, that’s no problem. You can see all starting points on the website. You can also finish at these places if you don’t want to end at Silkeborg Harbor. The most important thing to us is that you get a trip that matches your wishes and needs.

Unless something else has been arranged, the canoe will be ready for pickup at the starting point you booked. The canoe will be placed upside down, and there will be a rental slip attached with your details, so you can be sure it’s yours. You’ll also find a map there, so you can get an overview of your route and the different options for breaks and overnight spots.

Life jackets, paddles, and any other extra equipment (if ordered) will be placed under the canoe. After that, all that’s left to do is put the canoe in the water and head out.

Prices for renting a canoe in Silkeborg

Our prices are for everyone. It doesn’t have to be expensive to create great experiences and memories for life.

An hourly trip starting and ending at Silkeborg Harbor costs 200 kroner per hour. The minimum rental period is 1 hour, and after that you’re charged for each started 15-minute interval. After 3 hours, the price is 600 kroner, whether you rent the canoe for 4, 5, or 6 hours. However, you must return the canoe the same day.

If you’re up for a longer trip where you’re on the water for 2 days or more, prices vary accordingly. Prices for 2 days start from 750 kroner depending on the season, while, for example, renting a canoe for 5 days starts from 1,350 kroner. These prices are for trips starting and ending at Silkeborg Harbor.
