Terms and conditions

When paying online, all contact information fields must be completed. The price will be shown during the booking process and at payment. The price is your total price for your entire booking, and no additional costs will be added. Once the payment is completed, you will receive a confirmation email of your booking and payment. Payment can be made with Visa/Dankort, as well as accepted credit and debit cards. All prices are in DKK, incl. VAT.

If canceled no later than 4 weeks before the start date/time, the full amount will be refunded, less a fee of DKK 200.

If canceled less than 4 weeks before the start date/time, 75% of the full amount will be refunded.

If canceled less than 14 days before the start date/time, 50% of the full amount will be refunded.

If canceled less than 7 days before the start date/time, the amount will not be refunded.

Cancellation must be made in writing to info@silkeborgkanocenter.dk with your contact information, order number and your reg. and account number.

(NB: It is possible to purchase a cancellation option for a small amount. The amount is not covered by the above refund options).

The price for adding cancellation insurance is 5% of the booking's total amount, however, a minimum of DKK 50. The add-on is selected and paid for when booking and cannot be added after the booking is completed.

If canceled no later than 48 hours before the start date/time, 100% of the full amount will be refunded*.

If canceled no later than 36 hours before the start date/time, 75% of the full amount will be refunded*.

If canceled at least 24 hours before the start date/time, 50% of the full amount will be refunded*.

If less than 24 hours before the start date/time, the amount is non-refundable.

*The amount for the purchased cancellation option is non-refundable.

Please note that you can always change your booking after payment has been completed by contacting us via email or phone.
Any optional extras are always refunded in full.

When booking, you MUST order life jackets corresponding to the number of people who will be paddling. It is important to choose the correct vest sizes. We pack paddles according to the number of booked vests - the very small ones (under 20 kg) do not include a children's paddle. Booking a vest of 20/30 kg triggers a children's paddle. From 30 kg. and upwards, an adult paddle is automatically included. Write in the comments during booking if changes are desired in the number/variants of paddles. If you bring your own vests, it must be noted in the booking, and adult paddles will automatically be included for those persons, unless otherwise stated in the comments.

If you choose buoyancy aids during booking, it is a requirement that the person can swim at least 150 meters. Silkeborg Kanocenter cannot be held responsible for accidents when using either a life jacket with a collar or a buoyancy aid.

Start location:

The canoe/kayak will be ready from 9:00 AM on the start date unless otherwise agreed – from Tørring, however, from 9:30 AM. Paddles and vests will be under the canoe, as well as any optional extras. At the end of the canoe/kayak, there is a plastic pocket containing a delivery note with your information on it. A map of the Gudenå system is also enclosed.

End location:

The canoe/kayak must arrive at the agreed end point no later than 16:00 on the end date (Silkeborg Harbor at 17:00/20:00), unless otherwise agreed.

IMPORTANT: Call us from the end point so we know that both you and the canoe/kayak have come ashore safely. The phone number can be found on the delivery note. Please leave the canoe/kayak as you found it, upside down with all equipment underneath.

If the final destination has to be changed from the agreed destination, or it has not been agreed in advance, please contact us by phone: +45 86 80 30 03 no later than 12:00 noon on the last day you sail and inform us of the final destination, so we know where to pick up the canoe/kayak later that day!

In the event that canoes/kayaks are returned before the end of the rental period, the amount paid will not be refunded.

The renter is responsible for any damage caused to the canoe/kayak/motorboat and equipment through gross negligence, as well as any loss of these.

For any damage to yourself or your belongings during the trip, no compensation will be provided.

The renter is liable for any damage to third party property caused by the canoe/kayak/motorboat with their own liability insurance.

Please note that dogs are not allowed on our Family Packages and Family Packages (smaller children).

To avoid misplacement and theft of your canoe/kayak, please always make sure to put your canoe/kayak on land at night and bring extra seats, paddles and vests for your tent/shelter/cabin.

We are subject to the current personal data law regarding the storage and protection of personal information. The information is stored in accordance with current Danish law and then deleted. The customer always has the right to gain insight into what information the company has about the customer.
