Hourly sailing takes place from our base at Silkeborg Harbor, where we rent canoes, sea kayaks, Double kayaks and motorboats.
When can we sail?
Hourly sailing for canoes, sea kayaks and Double kayaks follows our normal opening hours, from May 1 to September 30. However, for motorboats, pre-booking can only start between 9:00 and 11:00, unless you want to sail more than 3 hours.
You have the option to pre-book the boat types you want to sail in here via our booking system. When you pre-book hourly sailing, we need to know approximately how many people are going, how many boats you need, how many hours you plan to sail and when you want to leave. Once the pre-booking is sent to us, you’ll hear from us as soon as possible with a confirmation – or if we have any further questions about your pre-booking.
How far can we go?
You can go a long way in a short time, and we’ve given a few suggestions for where you can go and how long it takes to get back to Silkeborg Harbor. The examples are for canoeing:
- Avnsø/Brillerne: 1.5 hours
- De Små Fisk Teltplads: 2 hours
- Slåensø: 3 hours
- Ålekroen/Traktørstedet Ludvigslyst: 4 hours
- Himmelbjerget: 5 – 6 hours
How do we pay?
All payment for hourly sailing takes place at the Port of Silkeborg. When you leave, you will be provided with the necessary equipment, and we always make sure we have life jackets ready for you in all sizes before departure.
Before you set off, you will, as always, have been thoroughly advised and guided by our skilled staff, so you are confident to sail out and enjoy the magnificent nature.
When you’re back at the Port of Silkeborg again, we only charge you for the number of hours you’ve been away – it couldn’t be easier! Therefore, we can’t give you an exact price for hourly sailing when you book on this page, but you are always welcome to call or write to us if you have any questions about prices, times or anything else.
